There is more than one way to be creative, and at times I think I may have tried them all. I was a professional musician (violinist and choir director) for many years in Los Angeles (my birthplace), 2 small towns in South Dakota, and in Denver. In addition, I was a parish pastor for 8 years in South Dakota and had some books published.
However, over the last few years I have been working very hard on digital art. I find the computer to be a superb tool for its creation. I can create art not only with images, but also with words. I find the process of digital art creation similar to the process of learning a musical instrument. You work on technique in order to express the emotion the music evokes. In the same way, you learn software technique in order to express the visual and emotional impact of images and words.
Currently I live in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, with my wife of 41 years, Jane, who is studying at The Lutheran Seminary at Gettysburg with a goal of ordained ministry.
